Acrylic

Acrylic nails are made with a mixture of acrylic powder (polymer) and a liquid agent (monomer) that when combined form a paste that is applied to the natural nail with the help of a mold or a tip.
Also known as porcelain nails, acrylic nails are rigid but malleable extensions that are applied to natural nails. These are intended to create a protective layer, while changing the shape or increasing the length of the nails, adding greater resistance and perfecting their appearance.

Gel

These are nail prostheses created from an acrylic gel molded on the natural nail. After several layers of base, enamel and fixer (all of them dried under an ultraviolet lamp) different and perfect designs are obtained that are as resistant as they are light.
The main difference between gel and acrylic nails is the polymerization process, the thickness of the final result, and the way to remove it when it has completed its process. Gel nails can look shinier and more natural and have no odor, however they are more brittle and tend to last less time

SNS

SNS, short for Signature Nail System, is a powder dipping system.
first, your nails are prepped and primed in exactly the same way that they are for acrylic application. if you want extra length, tips are glued on at this stage exactly the same as acrylics (above)
a base coat is applied, followed by the nail being ‘dipped’ into a coloured powder. this process is repeated a number of times to create the required strength and structure.
there is no ‘curing’ or ‘setting’ under a LED or UV light. because the powder is coloured no painting is required and there is zero dry time.
